Damn you're right. You're certainly in a strange position.

I'm not sure if MS has any relocation specialists that help you find housing, but I would email HR if anyone there can help you.

You should also talk to any other people at your school who are working in NYC and see if they would room with you or have suggestions.

 

Does your internship start the first week of June? Perhaps could makeshift at an airbnb or something for a week and then move in. I would also contact the New School to see because I know they accept under 18 for certain pre-college programs as long as they live within a safe distance to their classes so they may be less strict on you being 18 before moving in. Definitely a tough spot to be in.
