Living in Boston doing IB?
I am considering a FT IB offer at a EB in Boston vs a slightly worse bank in NYC. I always thought I'd want to live in NY, but am thinking about it more and might be open to trying out Boston.
I figure COL is slightly better, but what's it like to live in Boston as a recent grad in banking? There obviously isn't the huge banking community that NY has, but how is the social life? Do young people in Boston have fun? Girls? Weather? etc Thanks!
Moelis?
Boston sucks, the winters are long and brutal, energy/fun is nowhere near NY
Also PJT, Lazard, and im pretty sure Greenhill for EB. I think Evercore might too but not sure if its advisory or ISI. All fairly small offices.
Small office so don't want to be too specific, but it's one of Moelis or the firms named below.
So would you caution against Boston? The firm in NYC is definitely a notch below so I'm just trying to decide if it's worth taking the better firm in a worse city.
