Living Situation - Citigroup
Hi all,
Wanted to get everyone's insight into the best places to live - as an FYI, Citi is located at 388 Greenwich Street; it's the the middle of nowhere right below the Holland Tunnel and right by the west side highway.
Does anyone have insight into the best locations to live with regards to the above? Tribeca is a deadzone and ideally a place next to the 123 or ACE trains would be ideal.
West Willage, ACE stop at W 4th so some where around 6th avenue and Bleecker.
@yeahright
Urgh already in East so not really feeling West :p Though, I will consider it as a last option...
Not sure what you mean by "not feeling West"; both the ACE & 123 lines run on the West side. Not sure about your budget, but I was going to suggest the northern part of Battery Park City (River Terrace area) - it's within walking distance to work. Other than that, I think West Village (W 4th St station) is a sweet neighborhood.
IMO, West > East all day everyday :)
But yeah the ACE and 123 are west side lines so you are kind of screwed. Theres nothing that goes from east to west other than your good ol feet. I suppose like @Red Barchetta said you could do battery park.
Thanks for the insight guys - I am considering the FiDi/Battery Park area, a bit expensive though; subway/walking is no big deal for me as long as I can get to work within 20-30 min.
Battery park is a bit expensive, no ? I'm trying to get in through by-owner/no brokers, but a bit tough.
BPC is expensive. I lived there for a year, it's a very livable area despite the fact everyone seems to work in finance & the stroller moms own the sidewalks. Plenty of buildings, i.e. Related & Rockrose, you can walk in to leasing without a broker. I couldn't live in FiDi, not enough sunlight or green for my needs. Problem these days is much of the West side continue to price upward.

Just know that place off the top of my head as a co-worker owns there but you can rent too, have no idea if its anything close to what you want. Best bet is to honestly go down there and walk into the buildings and ask them availability and pricing.
