London rent websites

Hi all,

An incoming SA here looking for rent in London this summer. I am wondering which website or agency should I use in order to get a good flat price/location wise. Ideally the flat would be centrally located (Pimlico, South Kensington, Chelsea, Victoria...). Bugdet as usual for a SA.

Help will be much appreciated!

Rightmove and Spareroom probably collectively have ~99% of publicly advertised flats in the UK. Zoopla has a lot but overlaps with rightmove but the advantage of Zoopla is a travel time search.

Also it's worth looking at various student accommodation sites (either uni-provided or private like Unite, urbanest etc.) because they will have summer rooms free.

I would recommend university accommodation as being the most practical option, as these tend to be all inclusive (utilitieis, wifi etc). Private room shares generally require a minimum 6 month clause. Plus no guarantee what sort of people you will be sharing with. Average rents in a decent location will of £200 to £300 per week for a room.

Below dorms are quite popular with interns working in the city/canary wharf:
