Los Angeles Finance People -- Let's Connect

SoCal People!

So, I think there's a misconception (even amongst current LA/OC finance people) that the community is well connected. Breaking news, it's not really. I'd agree that the small finance clusters around LA (ie BevHills/CenturyCity; DTLA; SM/Brentwood; Newport Beach; South Bay) all find each other in their cluster. However, I was thinking we should find a way to get more of these people to connect. Maybe we can all meet up somewhere central like Brentwood or Century City? Thoughts? I know this is what the whatsapp group is for, but let's be real, the LA whatsapp group is depressing.

I'm in undergrad and most people i meet can't be less interested in finance. How do get connected with people in the industry? I live in South Bay and can't find anyone who shares similar interest.
