Luxury / Tailor-Made Travel

Hey All,

I wanted to send my parents on a private vacation. Thinking 1 - 2 weeks in Scotland or Japan with all details taken care of. Let's assume no budget cap.

Wondering if others can suggest travel agencies and share their experiences. A few names that I've come across:

  • Tauck
  • Abercrombie & Kent
  • Jacada
  • Luxury Gold
  • Kensington Tours
  • Others?

Now I've heard stories where in spite of paying ££££, the vacation ultimately ends up getting spoiled by the local operators and the luxury tour organizers are nowhere to be found. Or the accommodations and food aren't all that luxurious to begin with. I'd usually stay away but my parents get easily overwhelmed by planning and it's not enough for me to simply fund a trip and leave them be. Also not in an ideal position to sit down and plan myself given work.

Thanks in advance.

This is the CEO (Princeton + HBS, then PE). His dad is Stan Smith, the tennis legend and Adidas shoe. If he runs any company, I'm sure it is the best. They seem custom tailored to your travel needs and effortlessness on your part.

Audley travel has been absolutely flawless in my experience, would recommend heading down to chile and going down to patagonia camp or having them organize something in thailand/vietnam for you
