Mac or PC for Modeling?
Hello, just wanted to ask if there's any significant difference between Mac vs PC for financial modeling (particularly in IBD)? Thanks!

Windows, no question
Cheapest piece of shit windows will be 100000x than the newest, most powerful mac. Pc shortcuts are the language of the finance industry no matter where you go. Don't go against grain
Windows. Not only what people mentioned about excel but also if you're running complex models you wanna buy whatever gives you more RAM/processing power for your $$, which is unquestionably windows.
Have you ever touched excel before…?
do you code? Mac
do you do spreadsheets? Windows
It’s that simple and never needs to be debated again.
I use both Mac and Windows machines and Windows is better/easier for finance related tasks.
You could, in theory, re-map your keyboard on a Mac to function very similar to a windows PC - but why bother? It won't be the same experience because the OS is also different.
