Making $1000/hr. Working on Wall Street

Someone is getting rich of "Wall Street" and it isn't bankers. If you didn't get it (who is making that kind of money): "the world's oldest profession" practitioners. The profession is old but the professionals better not be too old since they have a limited shelf life and low barriers to entry.

I think last year the government prosecuted and convicted an individual by the name of Anna Gristina who was netting $6 MM/year or something like it. Interestingly, at the time of her arrest she was looking for someone to finance a dating /matchmaking site for her.

I honestly think most of the clients "hobbyists" are not people working in banking, but in other industries.

Let's see... $1000/hr on a 50 hour work week... $50,000 per week for 50 weeks, $2.5M. I've got some catching up to do unless this is one hell of a year for us.

The agency would take a cut out of the $1000/hour. Also the ladies are classified as independent contractors so they are responsible for both the employer and employee share of FICA. On the other hand, they have lots more flexibilities in term of business expenses deductions and write offs. Health insurance is an absolute must for anybody pursuing this line of work and it doesnt come cheap for someone employed in such high risk profession.

I think the implementation fo Obamacare, if executed successfully, will be great news for the working ladies by allowing them to afford high quality affordable healthcare through the health insurance exchange (HIX). By lowering their business overhead, this may encourage more talented young women to enter the profession.

This. Top guys at the top firms (i.e. Skaden, Shearman & Sterling) will cost you $1000/hr.

The rates for some of the top power attorneys have already exceeded $1000/hr and they are not even that good looking.

Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep.

BTbankerI wonder if they would be up for $83.33 for just 5 minutes. What the hell, round it up to $84.

This

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

Sounds more like lawyers to me. They expensive as shit.
I've paid $1100/hour for a lawyer. They billed me in 15 minute increments. So, we spoke for 2 minutes...rounded up to 15 ($275 for a 2 minute call). We spoke for 18 minutes....rounded up to 30. That's what I call getting fucked.
