I liked the 80s and 90s tourneys so much better where you saw guys for 4 years and rivalries actually existed. The system is so fucked up now and the NBA quality has also suffered as a result.
Need to bring back the Phi Slamma Jamma, Fab Five type of teams.

I believe Webber, Rose, and Howard were sophmores for the 92-93 season but yeah it's not a great example. The UNC team they lost to in the finals that year had some older guys on it I'm thinking, maybe Montross and Lynch.
I am more thinking the Christian Laettner types, the good programs were able to keep guys in school and it was alot more fun to watch.
