For back office it does. I know some people who were able to start as Associates in Operations/IT because of the masters degree earning 80k base first year rather than the traditional 60-70k. Never works for banking though so don't even try.

My friend asked about it once for IBD during 2nd rounds and the interviewer was like "are you crazy? no way" and chuckled. However the interviewer prob was annoyed by the stupid question since my friend got dinged shortly afterwards. We made him fun of him for a whole semester afterwards. He's currently working at IBM consulting.

This is wrong, and I can speak first hand.
 

This has been discussed ad nauseum.

Unless you have an MBA, we don't care in IB. Not even third tier firms will pay you more for some random ass masters.
