Meet the ‘Stealthy Wealthy’ Who Make Their Money the Boring Way
Just read this WSJ piece on the "Stealthy Wealthy", people hitting the top 1% by owning "unsexy" businesses like beverage distributors or flooring contractors rather than grinding in IB/PE.
The article argues that while we’re all chasing prestige on the Street, the most consistent wealth is actually found in these boring, niche monopolies. I’m curious to get the community’s take: Is the "prestige" of finance a trap, or is the headache of running a small/medium business not worth the trade-off?
