Michael Cohen Testimony

The personal attorney for the President of the United States of the past decade and personal attorney for the most watched news anchor on cable television (who is an outspoken, loud supporter of the President) is currently testifying to a Congressional committee.

Thoughts on the proceedings so far?

Here's the thing guy (girl/it/they/big baby pants). A lot of people don't want open borders or an insolvent socialist government. They don't want third trimester abortions or the government policing their thoughts. They don't want ridiculous policies that have never worked, but that's all the left has to offer isn't it? Trump is a dick. Wah. The left is completely off the rails and brings nothing to the table except whiny identity politics, a rambling dangerous Marxist ideology, and some abstract sense of moral superiority (see above). If those are my options, God help us all, I'll take the guy with the orange face, thanks.

Dr Phil yesterday: whenever someone is about to lie, they say ''I swear (to God), honestly, I mean it this time'' Cohen: ''I swear and this time I mean it''

...

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

I find it hard to believe when somebody who is proven to be a criminal, liar and conman is used as the smoking gun proof and testimony that somebody else is the actual criminal, liar and conman.

Maybe its different, but it is like saying, "I wouldn't have drove drunk if I did not hang out with other alcoholics at the bar." You media just assumes that everybody else that drinks at bars are alcoholics. Sure its possible, but the only proof in this case is the guy that drove drunk.

It's another nail in the coffin, but it's just one nail. The testimony will be dramatically over-emphasized by the left as the biggest deal ever and dramatically under-emphasized by the right as an absolute nothing. Predictably, the truth will be somewhere in between.

I don't know about this. I think this is a major piece of evidence in the "less important" case that Trump flagrantly violated federal campaign finance laws. In that sense, it's certainly a smoking gun.

It obviously doesn't have much to do with Russia and honestly, the proof that Trump has habitually lied about the various crimes he's committed means nothing, because anyone who didn't already know that could watch the President gun down half a dozen people on the National Mall on live television and would still declare it fake news or somehow justified. That is both Trump's strength and his witness; his supporters literally do not care what he does, legal or illegal, moral or immoral, they would cheer him on if he released nerve gas on Washington if he claimed it was to "drain the swamp". And the people who have the eyes to see he's a bad actor... well, nothing he does can erase his past actions. The problem is that the latter vastly outnumber the former, by pretty much any objective account.

Michael Cohen: I Have No Evidence of Russia Collusion…but ‘I Have My Suspicions’

that about wraps up the russia investigation. The left has been running a witch hunt the whole time, Cohen is doing his best to smear trump, but provides no evidence of Russia collusion. The russia investigation is a massive propaganda campaign by the leftist media.

Controversial

Cohen has obvious credibility problems. That being said, the GOP has no interest in hearing what he has to say, and has spent their entire time attempting to discredit the witness, just as they did during the Kavanaugh hearings, and they continue to do with McCabe, Comey, etc.

Cohen testified that Trump is currently under investigation for other crimes not yet publicly revealed, and the GOP follow up question was if he's just trying to get rich off a book deal. As Rep. Raskin said, the GOP isn’t upset because Cohen is lying about POTUS, they're mad because Cohen has stopped lying for POTUS.

Some other bumblef*ck from Ohio said that the President is working tirelessly to make the country safe with North Korea, while half the country is focused on this hearing, and that Trump is not a liar or crook based on his own experience. GTFO, no one is buying that.

Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows are deplorable, and if nothing else, these public hearings show what a joke the modern GOP has become. No one with a functioning brain should get with 1000 miles of this party.

Trump hid from Vietnam in America in the 60s, and he's now hiding from America in Vietnam.

"I don't know how to explain to you that you should care about other people."

You have to discredit the witness when he is a convicted felon and has lied to congress. All the democrats care about is getting Trump out of office at any means necessary. Sure, Trump is a bad guy and will be guilty of some of these accusations. I don't see anything deeming him unfit to continue to lead the country. Can the left get back to work now and focus on real issues for once?

Loved when they asked about him keeping the profits for writing a book about it when he gets out of jail. Reminded me of the Kavanaugh trial when Lindsay Graham asked Brett if he believed in God.

Gotta love these guys adding zero value with their trash questions and statements.

Dayman?

Probably won't change much but it provides a great opportunity for the Trump/Republican cultists to embarrass themselves publicly (as usual) by refusing to acknowledge the obvious evidence that at minimum their Christ figure is pure scum. Collusion or conspiracy is still unproven. But of course the far right lemmings will follow their dear party right off the cliff as always because they're incapable of thought independent of what Republican leaders and conservative media tell them to think lmao

dsch:
Are you suggesting Democrats are any less hive-minded and brainwashed by their party leaders?

To be fair, the Democratic party seems pretty divided at the moment as to their future. Seems to be three distinct camps within the left.

This is a complete fallacy. Point to where in my post I talk about the Democrats. You obviously can't. But since the conservative ideology is deeply rooted in a mindset interpreting everything in the world in a way analogous to a football game you find yourself imagining statements and arguments that were never made by me. So then when I say something to the effect of "The Republicans do things I don't like." you also see "I like everything the Democrats do.". Sorry. You're imagining things.
