Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge starts tomorrow
Posting this here in case anyone is interested in competing in the Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge, an Excel modeling competition for college kids. It's created by the Financial Modeling World Cup (FMWC) and the University of Arizona and starts tomorrow.
Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge is going to take place from September 14 to December 3 and will include a training ground, 2 rounds and in-person finals in Arizona, USA. The Challenge’s purpose is to enable students of all levels (undergraduate and graduate) and backgrounds (not only finance/business majors) to learn more about Excel, financial modeling, data analysis, and business analytics.
Through the Challenge, students will gain insights into real-world business modeling and analytics, develop their Excel skills, and be exposed to a variety of career paths. The competition is entirely free to students (including travel to the live finals in Tucson), has a prize pool of $30,000, and gives students an opportunity to get certified as well as highlight their skills to potential employers. Students can choose whether to compete on their own or in groups of up to three people.
