Milton Friedman 1980 Free to Choose PBS Show

Anybody seen these shows? I'm no econ PhD but these are pretty golden.

Milton Friedman gives an interesting 20 ~30 min talk. And accomplished people from all backgrounds (business magnates, policy makers, politicians, social activists, other academics, etc...) debate on a certain topic for the other 30 mins.

Why can't modern TV producers make shows like these?

This is my favorite TV series. Friedman's logic was very persuasive and easy to understand. "How are people voting with their feet? Is Hong Kong trying to prevent people from going to China, or is China trying to prevent people from going to Hong Kong?" 40 yrs later very prescient.

I also agree on the civilized opposing viewpoints. It puts modern political / entertainment television to shame.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I agree with everything Friedman says on these. But it also seems like such basic common sense that I don't last very long watching them. Kind of amazed any time someone disagrees with him.
