Most exciting career path in this industry?
Who has had the most exciting or adventurous career path you know? I know people will say finance is boring but on the flip side the work is fast paced and people work on billion dollar deals. Do you know anyone who has actually had a career which was like something out of Suits or House of Cards? Which area of finance would be the most exciting?
Basically I just don't want to be an NPC who has a good but uneventful job doing the same thing over and over again.
Why not commit fraud or create a Ponzi scheme to break up the monotony?

I've heard that old school trading was genuinely very stimulating and interesting but it's now dying pretty much obviously.
However more broadly at a long / short equity hedgefund I think that seems very exciting - I've just never really had enough motivation to leave my current role to do something totally different.
