Today at 3am I found out my best friend in high school, who also came with me to China and had many adventures together, died on New Year’s Day. I don’t know what to feel. Maybe because I lost my dad when I was 12 and then almost lost my mom to cancer. A couple years later, I always have felt that is just around the corner. It just doesn’t surprise me anymore.
