Network through internship to diffrent company arm

Hey guys,

Hey, guys, I am a junior at a nontarget state school (very far from NYC) and I received and accepted an internship at New York Life Insurance in NYC as a corporate finance intern. This was the best internship I was able to obtain. My ultimate professional goal is to have a career in investments as opposed to corporate finance. New York Life has a lot of interesting arms in regards to investments such as their PE arm in Gold Point Partners, NYL Investments, and NYL venture. What advice could yall give me in order to make a good impression with these different arms to hopefully one day work within these arms? Do you guys think its possible to network my way into these arms during my summer working in the corporate finance arm? Possibly an interview for an entry-level job at their investment arm> I look forward to hearing what you guys thing.
