New Forum Category for High Schoolers

Anyone else starting to think it would make sense to make a new forum category for just the high schoolers asking questions? Have seen a ton of where should I go to college, high school internships, how to prepare in high school type of threads...

I don't want to encourage high school overachievers any more than we already are. Creating a culture where you need to "prepare" for your 5+ year out career is just ludicrous, no matter how competitive the industry is. When I've participated in entry level recruiting, I look for kids who are well-rounded, happy, and interesting above all else -- the technicals, etc. aren't rocket science and don't require such a dramatic wind-up. If you're currently 18... please go to a party, get a handjob in the backseat of a car, play a sport, and explore all the options and variety available in your professional future before zeroing in on one career rabbit hole.
