New Venture Fianancial Modeling

Howdy! How would you model a new venture in Excel? Do you guys (VC/business angels) have a sample of what you would like to see? Please provide samples. I am getting ready to raise capital (250k) and I want to show a good financial plan. Thanks in advance!

I would also add that a DCF could damage your credibility more than it can help. If your numbers are too optimistic then people may look at it as you don't know what you are doing and have no clue, if they are too low then it's not interesting you are not ambitious enough. Leave the valuation to the investors would be my advice and solely provide what they need. Which is a sensible route to profitability through a well-constructed business plan which provides all the information supporting your forecasts etc.
