Anybody on here who's anybody is anonymous here to not have to deal with compliance.  Generally we try to not flagrantly abuse the rules anyway (and personally, I think I'm cool even if compliance figured out that I'm on here) but it's a headache you don't want.  Hell, even on Twitter, while I'm anonymous as well, the Bloomberg guys and most of the other talking heads know who I am, but I still won't say anything if a Fund is brought up.  That leaves me talking with them about things like 'best N64 games.'

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
