"nobody watches the preseason" is a completely meaningless comment.

Wait, why don't you? If a friend of mine hurt me and made an effort to be nice I would absolutely need to tell them I appreciate their efforts. Positive reinforcement is a good thing. It assists people behave better, who is to say it can't create a company behave better too? If EA returned no advantages from"doing the bare minimum of human decency" then they wouldn't do even the bare minimum. It is well worth rewarding them for this like it's well worth rewarding a problem child for doing their best to get a day. The difference is that you positively reinforce ACTION, not words. EA (and people in general) shouldn't encourage black people for any reason beyond the fact that Mut 21 coins it is the right thing to do. Benefits come from good behaviour, you should not be on good behavior for those added benefits. After I see EA contribute to the causes or implement efforts to assist out black developers or items of that type, then I will praise them. We only should demand a high standard and quit letting companies off the hook so easily. I am of the mindset which cancel civilization is largely poor and individuals should be invited to alter and improve. But we shouldn't let ourselves to be performed by companies that are, at the end of the day, looking to eliminate all barriers in the way of getting our money. I have been burnt by false promises too many times.

Benefits come from good behaviour, you shouldn't be on good behavior for those added benefits. "Everybody should only do the perfect thing" is a naive expectation. And I believe this is true even for people too: if you want someone to behave in a moral way the best way to do that is to give them the right incentives and rewards to make acting morally the greatest and most attractive option for them. If you don't then your society will probably be unstable. This is where I see this debate breaking down. Corporations are not people, they do not have any built-in moral instincts. Should they behave , it is because they gain, there's no other reason. Either because there's pressure internally from their employees to act in a way consistent with the morals and beliefs of the employees, or external pressure from customers or governments. Once I visit EA contribute to the causes or implement efforts to help out black developers or things of that sort, then I'll praise them. We just need to demand a higher standard and quit allowing firms off the hook so easily. Not surprising once you're the only licensed football game at a quarantined year that has delayed the season. The lovers are starved of their favorite sport. The season isn't delayed it's still beginning punctually, next Thursday. Dont understand why you are downvoted, NFL preseason is awful. I understand some people get up for it because they're desperate for football, but it's just so dull and doesnt tell you anything. I've seen teams go winless and win the superbowl, and other teams crush preseason and have dreadful decades.

Dont understand why im downvoted either considering I actually work with the NFL broadcasting team and have the amounts at my desk. There wasn't anything in your first comment that triumphed that you'd"inside" knowledge. I know why you're being downvoted because some people actually do observe the preseason and you come off as smug. You're probably being downvoted by people who have watched preseason. Educated opinions do not really work on reddit. I've learned to stop commenting on matters between my field of work because some snarky adolescent who does not have any clue what they are talking about is going to be upvoted from the hivemind who also does not have any idea what they are talking about.

"nobody watches the preseason" is a completely meaningless comment. How were people supposed to guess that its coming from someone who's allegedly informed? Individuals who say they are going to boycott are usually individuals who never had any intention to buy in the first place. Yep. Also, most of the time people that are up to date with the latest gaming controversies aren't exactly sports lovers, which is obviously the largest playerbase of sport games. I believe a good deal of individuals forget about this. For a lot of madden 2k etc. buyers that's gont be 1 of possibly 4 of 5 matches they buy that year they do not care for any controversy. Hell as a massive basketball and video game enthusiast I understand 2k is fucking me but I really like basketball and play 2k religiously and with friends why do I not buy it lol.

Probably particularly true for people who have to declare their goals really loudly. Like the men and women who dramatically declare they are leaving a forum. I'm skipping it (ironic, I know) but I know the game is still going to do really well. Same with the latest versions of 2K. If a get a urge to play Madden I shall just spend $5 or $15 dollars to EA Perform and after a month I'll be carried out. I wonder if there are folks like me and cheap Madden nfl 21 coins where they fall into those sales figures. Folks like you (and me) are who they created EA Play , the type that will buy a sports game to have in their group but not be fanatical about it. EA decided they would rather we provide them the money right rather than spend it buying a secondhand game which they receive no money from.
