NYC apartment hunting rant: everyone and their mother and brother are touring
Am I doing something wrong? This is ridiculous. I've never seen anything like this before. I toured a decent apartment on StreetEasy that was posted like at like 11am yesterday, Somehow 100 people have already contacted the broker, and 10+ parties toured the one and only open house scheduled that SAME DAY. And yeah this apartment is actually a decent deal, but c'mon. I'm not sure how anyone is moving into this city when the ratio between people touring and avaliable apartments is like 10:1 at best.
Don't even get me started with these applications. They want your entire life story....
I knew NYC renting was competitive but holy shit. Everyone and their mother and brother is apparently looking for the exact same apartment as me.
On a more serious note, anyone got any advice? Much appreciated.
