NYC based Pilots?

Whatsup monkeys. Moving to New York this summer and I'm an avid aviation enthusiast and private pilot. I live out in California currently where the aviation community is abundant and it is easy to fly as I live 5 minutes from my airport.

Wondering if any of you balance flying with an IB/long hours job and if so, how? My plan is to try and fly 2 times a month and give up on going out on a Friday/Saturday night and wake up early to commute 1-1.5 hours each way to the airport, fly for an hour, then land and drive back by mid afternoon to be ready if work hits. Is this feasible?

I am trying to stay as current as I can, not necessarily pursue other ratings. (Maybe an instrument lesson here and there)
