Not sure if it’s open again post-COVID or if you’re too far, but the YMCA on Bowery is one with both an indoor gym, basketball court, and a pool if that’s something you’re also into
Ah thank you, I will definitely look into it. I’ve always gone to YMCAs growing up and enjoyed them.

Lifetime fitness has a big gym on 42nd and 11th ave with a full indoor court. Very nice gym too, but a bit out of the way.
I just saw on the website that the courts are NBA regulation. How good is the competition? High level runs or more casual?
You’ll find both. It’s been a while since I’ve looked for a very competitive game, but they used to have some there. Think weekends and after work hours. Some serious players.

In addition to Equinox and Lifetime, Chelsea Piers has full basketball courts along with a huge array of other sports. I know people on the Upper East Side who play at the 92nd Street Y as well
