NYC Neighborhoods in 2021

Anyone have updated thoughts on neighborhoods in NYC? I'm moving up this summer and would love some recs / thoughts for places to get a studio / 1-BR for $4-5k a month. What are thoughts on Chelsea, East Village, Soho, Gramercy, Nomad, Soho, etc. for someone working in Midtown?

It's not on your list but with that budget, Tribeca is a great option. It's quiet, clean, and just a nice looking area in general with good restaurants. Nightlife is lacking a bit directly in tribeca but it's walking distance to Soho and a quick uber away from meatpacking/chelsea. For work, the city hall/chambers st station takes you right into midtown.
