Offensive Cartoons

OK, I'm sure everyone's seen the various cartoons over the past few years depicting Islam and Muslims in an offensive way to many, WSO having seen many a thread. I thought they were in bad taste and despite clamours from people to pull the cartoons and apologies to be issued, nothing was done.

So can someone please explain to me how this is any different?

Hardly sends the right message about the freedom of speech and the delusion that Islam is being targeted. I understand the Holocaust Memorial Day was poor timing but I seem to remember the French cartoon coming right after the deaths in Libya and the anti-muslim movie. I've seen the cartoon and it hardly called for an apology in such regretful terms. Fucking typical bullshit some fucker will use for motivation if you ask me.
