One year the admin next to my desk played Kenny G Christmas carols for the entire month of December.

I am wise because I know that I know nothing -Socrates

Mentioned in a previous similar thread: Front desk girl laughs like Kendra Wilkinson all day...

The gum chewing would get to me quickly.

"That dude is so haole, he don't even have any breath left."

In general, if you share an office with people, you should take long personal conversations elsewhere. I do not understand how my officemates fail to realize this.

People chewing loudly, the guy twisting his keys around all day, the girl that asks all the time to leave early to be with her dog (WTF you just started the job?!?!). Just a few to begin with.

Greed is Good!

The voicemail notification. Never fucking goes away. If i see a missed call - I'll call. Why the fuck would you leave me a voicemail! Email or text if leaving a message is so fucking important, that way, yours truly doesnt have to replay a voicemail to get key information.

IlliniProgrammerTraders playing/singing songs on the hoot- over and over again.

+1 on this one.

My MD is swiss and the fucking guy plays the swiss national anthem on the hoot all the time. Seriously?

Also another trader on my desk loves to sing "it's the end of the world as we know it" all the fucking time, and he only knows those words. So fucking annoying.

Bitches who say 'Wow!' and 'That's awesome!' and 'That's so cool!' after your every other sentence in a conversation. Bitches with fat asses. Bitches with fat asses who, on top of that, are loud and always bitching about something. Bitches who gather around their cubicles and gossip whispering about some stupid shit like how someone screwed up some TPS report. People who strike a conversation at the urinal. And that thing with the hands - I feel like at least half the nation does not wash properly.

This. /endthread.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

i hate the use of the word "bet" to refer to our factor exposures... vol bet, momentum bet, value bet etc.. i always find the word bet gives an uncertain connotation... i prefer just referring to them as exposures

Gossipers.

I generally dislike people who don't wash their hands. At work or on campus. Piglets.

No one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions; he had money as well.
