Out of control taxi driver hits tourist

Supposedly a taxi driver was trying to make a left turn but it was blocked by a cyclist who told him to stop. According to "http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2398418/British-tourist-23-leg-…" The taxi driver beeped and accelerated at the cyclist.

The taxi driver ran over the cyclist and severed the leg of a British tourist who was minding her own business eating a hot dog that she had just brought.

Smh. Its crazy how Life can happen.

The good news is that there were many bystanders who rushed to the aid of the tourist.
A plumber tied his belt around the leg to stop it from bleeding, several food truck owners rushed to put the severed foot into a bucket of ice, and even Dr. Mehmet Oz rushed to help calm the victim.

Grateful that there are so many helpful bystanders who are able to stomach the blood and the severed foot.

I think nyc needs to change it roads to cater both cyclists and drivers. Especially with the new citi bike and etc.

NYC cyclists suck so much...they give cyclists around the world a bad name lol

This x1000. Though I have to say - and I've said this before - NYC yellow cabs are the most dangerous things on the planet. Driving next to one is like rolling down the street next to a giant marble; the thing could change direction at any moment, with no regard for you or anything around it, and smack right into you. Then it would just roll away as if nothing happened.

in it 2 win it

It's called "impulse control", it seems that NYers have a problem with this. I don't bike to work because it doesn't make sense in my case, but I'm a fan of it and excercise in general. LOL at the grumpy old lardasses who hate the bikes.

Keep in mind that this is a city with all the money and creativity in the world sloshing around, but can't be bothered to do better than pile loads of stanking garbage ten feet high in front of nice establisments.

Get busy living

Your description of the incident made me LOL in the office. Gj.
