Out of the ordinary to thank a recruiter?

Hey guys, so I start my first day of work on Monday with an energy company in Houston on their (generation/plant) risk desk. I got the job through a recruiter, contrary to my other post on getting an offer from the company I interned with, I actually took this job.

Now the recruiter I worked with absolutely went to bat for me, she sent me multiple companies a week, flew me to two interviews, sent me jobs 'out of network' that people she just knew of were hiring. Coming from the background (low prestige of schooling) I have, she really killed it.

Now I know, she gets paid to do this, and 'she was just doing her job' but I really can't thank her enough, so I thought about sending some kind of gift basket of some sort to her office, I'm not sure if this is customary or not so I figured I'd ask you guys.

Thanks
