Paid Internship: International Tax Analyst/Accountant

Mod Note (Andy): My friend and former roommate John Hamilton is looking to hire interns for his boutique Accounting Firm (Online Tax Man). I wanted to pass this opportunity on to the WSO community because it's a great chance to work with a solid boutique accounting firm, live in South America, and have an amazing experience. See below for full info and his email.

Boutique virtual CPA firm with a focus on international taxation looking for interns, entry level, or 2-5 year experienced tax position. Rock stars in fact. We are not your typical CPA firm, so we are not looking for your typical CPA. Must love international travel to exotic places, wining and dining, extreme sports and taxes (seriously).

Tax experience, Spanish and/or Portuguese language a plus. Must be willing to work and relocate to South America for tax season. Potential to work remotely for most or all of the year after 1.5 years of tenure.

Education/experience:
0-5 years experience
Tax experience preferred
CPA or CPA eligibility required.

Skills Preferred:
Demonstrated and proven technical skills including completing and reviewing the following tax forms: 1040, 1120, 1120s, 1065, 3520, 3520-A, 8938, 5471, 8621, 8865, 1116 and FBAR.

Demonstrated experience with research, writing and consulting on various international tax matters, including: expatriation, voluntary disclosure, various cross-border consulting and compliance matters, foreign tax credit, treaty analysis and foreign national issues.

Pay:
Depends on experience. Range varies from 25k-50k annual salary.
