Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some recommendations for a PC laptop within your budget that would be great for your finance classes and excel practice:

  1. Lenovo ThinkPad: A user mentioned that they were able to get one of the top models for $650 with a student discount and sale price. It runs well even with multiple tabs, Excel, and PowerPoint open.

  2. Dell 9th gen + i5/i7: Another user recommended this with 8+ GB DDR4 RAM and an SSD (hybrid if possible). It also has a good battery, screen, and keypad.

Remember, these are just recommendations based on previous WSO threads. It's always a good idea to do some research and find the laptop that suits your needs best. Happy shopping!
