Any opinions on the merits of investing as an ‘LP’ in PE, eg through platforms like Moonfare vs investing directly in the stock? I don’t really see why returns would be hugely different and the stock is vastly more liquid. Most big LPs seem to invest in funds for the eventual co-invest anyway. What am I missing?
