Pillow recommendations

Hello fellow monkeys,

Wondering if anyone has some pillow recommendations. Looking to upgrade and would love “hotel style” pillows that are plush, soft but still firm enough to not sink through it (for example I love Hyatt pillows).

The problem I am running into is there are 100’s of “hotel style pillows” and everytime I click on a link it seems as though it’s a paid ad and I never see consistent brand names. Also at a price point of $50-75 I don’t really wanna just shoot in the dark on this one ($200-$300 is quite the investment for some pillows). However I know good sleep is priceless.

Thanks in advance!

Ah, the quest for the perfect pillow, a journey many of us on Wall Street Oasis have embarked upon in our pursuit of maximizing those precious hours of rest. While the context provided doesn't specifically mention pillows, I can draw on the general sentiment around luxury and comfort that's been discussed, especially in relation to sheets and blankets.

Given your preference for "hotel style" pillows that strike the right balance between plushness and support, and considering your budget, here are a few general tips that might help guide your decision, inspired by the discussions around quality rest and comfort:

  1. Look for Down or Down Alternative: Many high-end hotels use down or down alternative pillows for that luxurious feel. Down alternative can offer the plushness of down without the potential allergens and usually at a more affordable price point.

  2. Check the Fill Power: For down pillows, the fill power indicates the quality of the pillow. Higher fill power means more loft and longer-lasting support. For your needs, something in the mid to high range could offer the plush yet supportive feel you're after.

  3. Consider Firmness Options: Some brands offer pillows in various firmness levels. Since you're looking for something that's soft yet doesn't allow you to sink through, a medium firmness might be your sweet spot.

  4. Read Reviews Carefully: Since you've noticed a lot of paid ads and inconsistent brand names, look for reviews on third-party sites or forums where real users share their experiences. Sometimes, the best recommendations come from a community of like-minded individuals.

  5. Trial Periods and Return Policies: Given the investment, look for brands that offer trial periods or have generous return policies. This way, you can test the pillow in your own sleep environment without fully committing.

While I can't point you to a specific brand or model, these guidelines should help you navigate the sea of options with a bit more confidence. Remember, investing in good sleep is investing in yourself, and it's worth taking the time to find the right pillow that meets your needs. Happy hunting, and may you find the pillow that elevates your sleep to the next level!

I also have two Leesa pillows and also agree that they're the best pillows I've ever had. Not entirely sure they fit what OP is asking for, but they're the right answer regardless.
