Potential Duke vs UNC Final Four Rematch?

Would be intense if this happened. This season is Duke Coach K's final year and UNC's first year with their new head coach, Hubert Davis.

The last time they met was during Coach K's last home game at Cameron Indoor, and it ended up being attended by a bunch of Duke's previous players and prominent alumni like Tim Cook. It was the most expensive game in basketball history by price of average ticket sold and the most expensive sports game in college sports history by the same metric. Duke ended up losing badly, so this rematch would be a huge redemption arc against UNC.

Can't imagine what the tension would be like at those two schools the week leading up to the game if it happened. They've never met in the NCAA tournament. They came close in the early 90s, but Duke lost one game that stopped it.

If Duke beats Arkansas tonight, then UNC will have to beat Saint Peter's tomorrow. It's funny because Saint Peter's is America's darling Cinderella story right now (for good reason), and tomorrow most people will hate UNC if they beat them, but then if they wanted UNC to lose as penance, people would have to cheer for Duke, and people really dislike Duke for some reason.

Can't wait to see how this plays out.
