President vetos Chinese Company construction Near US Airbase

http://money.cnn.com/2012/09/28/news/economy/obam…

Chinese owned company gets vetoed for building wind farms near a US military base.

Can't think why.....

As mentioned in a previous thread, noone trusts these guys to make anything other than plastics and components.

edit: only the 2nd veto used by Obama during his tenure.

Official unofficial logic: imbedded spies. China is expanding its business interests abroad and there are intelligence people working within them. They just did the same thing in Iceland, Australia, Germany, Mexico, Afghanistan, and England....the US isn't having it. It's not Cold War 2.0, but Bush cancelled the purchase of Chevron a few years ago for the same reason. They can make cars, computers, and chachkies....but vital infrastructure is a no go, at least on paper.

Also ...agree or disagree with the logic, not my point... Obama wants solar to creat jobs for Americans.

I just can't stand how he cuts funding for drilling for gas and offshore oil, then kills a pipeline that would give us more energy independence. It seems that politics have gotten in the way of his 'goal' of job creation. He's screwing himself over to protect his image.
