FYI, after playing with permissions for a long time I think I was finally able to make it so mods can not see private groups.
If someone who is a mod can confirm by leaving the group and seeing if they can see the group home page and/or any of the groups post (once they are no longer a member), that would be much appreciated.

I seem to have lost the ability to edit/lock posts in the general forums. Maybe this is a temporary glitch of some sort, but I'm trying to lock these damn drug tests posts and the "edit" tab no longer appears at the top!
yeah, think this was the only way to make this group 100% private...you can still delete posts as a mod, but with mollum our spam has gone way down so the only functiionality we're really losing is the locking function which I'll be happy to do if a thread really start annoying you :-)

We also lose the ability to move threads to the front page so if you see a thread that you really like you need to move it to the front yourself. Otherwise, I think it is a good trade-off.

so just giving my writers admin privileges now...not ideal but until I can find something better will have to suffice.
I vote to screw the private group and get editing options back... tons of span posting and I cant delete shit
sorry guys, have to agree w Monty here. I made it so mods shoudl have access to move nodes around but also can likely see this posts from this group again.
