Prophecy

RIMM is going to way of PALM.

Any doubters should go to CNBC.com and watch the interview that happened about a week ago w/ one of the co-ceo's. Sitting there holding his tablet and saying it was the best technology out there, it is SO obvious he doesn't believe a word of what he is saying.

MARK MY WORDS!

Thanks for ruining it for me dick.
If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses - Henry Ford

So, either of you going to take a position? I took a short position in PALM around $9 but lost my nerve with the volatility. I can' t imagine they are going to go out of business completely, I mean there will always be business demand.... but 20 billion market cap - there is no way that is sustainable.

Any thoughts?

I guess the way I look at it is that some of those companies (NFLX, OPEN) have a a strong product to offer and plenty of room to grow. Sure they might be expensive (and RIMM relatively inexpensive) but RIMM's money maker seems to be faltering big time - and they threw a hail mary with their tablet - and failed.

There is nowhere for them to go now. Some of those other companies have bright futures long-term

Predicting this is like predicting that people will be idiots, its just a given.
