I felt like this was going to be an epic gangster flick, the kind that really motivates you as you root for the bad guy (and he wins, or at least dies in a really built-up, dramatic way). In this case, the movie just ends. Could have been 10x more intense.

The only positives of the movie are: incredible setting and style, really fits the era of the story. Also, the movie was good, until it just ended. After seeing how the story ends (as it did in real life), I think it would have been smart of the writers/directors to extend the story and create some fiction. I left thinking, "that was it?!"

Edited to say: I was expected some cross of Catch Me If You Can, and American Gangster. Something with wit, smarts, arrogance, and excess. It didn't have excess, or an air of something bigger that the other two movies had.
