If it seems too good to be true, it's a scam.
It is possible that 168 Front Street is a residential building, but nothing is coming up so that's a red flag. Why don't you go through a broker? At least if they screw you over you have recourse.

I'll say it again...USE A BROKER.
If you are not going to visit the apartment then I doubt a management company will take you seriously, or as seriously as someone who visits the unit. If you want to secure a place to live a broker who gets paid doesn't really care who rents the place or where they live. In fact if you didn't visit the unit then it's less work for them.
If it's a rental building, you can rent directly from management instead of paying a useless broker fee for a property you found yourself.

I mean since he is not going to be viewing the asset I think he will have a hard time with the managing agent to sign a lease. No matter how easy everything is with the internet these guys still do a qualitative assessment of a potential renter. I would see a risk to lease an apt to someone you've never met and who lives all the way in SF. That is where the value of a resi broker would come in, so the fee wouldn't be useless.
As someone who oversees rentals, among other things, I would prefer to rent to an actual person you can tell so much about a person when touring an apartment. A lot of them disqualify themselves when they view the apt too. like.."you seem so chill, last landlord didn't mind when i couldn't pay me rent on time". I've actually heard that.
