Hi Guys. Not really finance related (not really, I say). I had the opportunity to do an internship overseas this summer. I am going into my senior year of Uni back in the US. While overseas, I was able to meet 2-3 girls who were gorgeous (8+), really cool, and interested in meeting an american.. Too bad I had to leave to come back to University here. I realize that it is just so hard to find this kind of talent in the US... it exists but is impossible due to ALOT of guys swarming and nothing to differentiate. ANyway, I am still talking to a couple of these girls via Skype and Facebook, etc. If I had financial flexibility, I would gladly invite one of them over for a vacation or go somewhere.... but I don't. I am still a student. I would need to ask my parents for money which I feel uncomfortable about. The only thing I can think of is tie it in with a networking trip sometime.. Any advice to maintain these relationships? Need to do something for them to keep interest. Make a promise of some sort.
Not really looking forward to going back to university to see a bunch of trashy, flip flop wearing, un devoted ladies. Europe has gotten us beat on this one.
Man just find girls around u, im sure not every girl in your uni wear flip flops. also its probably less effort than what ur trying to do.

This is absurd. Girls are girls anywhere you go. Being foreign doesn't make them different. Find out what you like in chicks and pursue those who have those qualities. They're there, you just don't know where. Don't hide behind the "I'm just keeping in touch" guise because that shit will get old really, really quickly. After the first or second Skype chat they're gonna ask "so why are we talking again???"
If it's a professional thing - follow up every few months. If you're trying to hook up in some distant, alternate future, in a time far, far away: forget about it. Unless she expected you to marry her (and I have specific experience in this regard), you're as gone as the pad she used last month.
And FYI - I'll take a nice southern girl over some Euro chick any day of the motherfucking YEAR lol, and I'm a foreign guy myself.

But there is something about the girls I met there that is different. I have some family over there so I will eventually go back. Just want to keep it open. Maybe I could invite one for a spring break trip or something? Save up some money?

I agree. It can't be maintained like it is now. But at the same time, I think there is a chance. Lets say I go back over winter for a bit to visit fam. and invite for a trip on SB. If I get good enough grades, etc, maybe the parents would help me for a SB trip. If we stay in touch, etc, whats to say it is impossible? I am not asking her to be faithful the whole time... because of course I will probably be messing around here at University. But it is holllow and I want more and there is a certain exotic factor here that is worth something. Thoughts?

Damn you really fell for these chicks. Forget them until next time you are headed over there and need some strange and then shoot them a text. Send them a gift or invite them on vacation? No. Just no. If you are that desperate spend the money on an escort, much cheaper.

I just wanted to add something because I think that this thread left a bad taste in OP's mouth with little value added:
You have no idea how often attractive girls are propositioned. Like... all day every day everywhere they go and on all of their little devices and accounts; they receive constant validation. Those girls have probably mostly forgotten you and were probably interested to see what a foreigner like you was like; you were a novelty. Sorry. If they were into you, you would have been banging and they would be implying that they should come visit.
But you shouldn't feel bad; you should feel good. Those girls are in the prime of their sexual market value right now. They will never be able to attract more appealing (i.e. better game, older, higher position in life, more experience, more value overall) men than they do now.
You, on the other hand, will appreciate in sexual market value for many years to come. Every book you read, every trip you take, every girl you have sex with, every relationship, every rep, every jog, every single thing that makes you a better man... will elevate your ability to attract the women of your choosing.
So don't worry. All you can do it to continue to better yourself and to relentlessly pursue any woman that interests you for practice. These girls are pulling at your heart strings, but you aren't pulling on theirs. You've gotta make it the other way around. You'll be happier.
