Republic Wireless.They are wireless service provider scheduled to launch November 8th. There is nothing concrete about it's operations yet, but it's rumored they will be offering Android based phones with unlimited talk, text, and data for $20/mo. Now that's a lot easier to swallow compared to paying $100/mo and having extra charges for excess data usage.
Apparently the way they are keeping it so damn cheap is by using Wi-Fi technology opposed to Satellite. When out of range of Wi-Fi, they will use Sprint's satellites.
Any thoughts if this could become a major carrier? Would you switch?
