Reputation Break Down?

I've realized how important reputation is and everyone on campus seems to have a decent impression of me.

Recently, though, I've been feeling extremely anxious about ruining my reputation and it's making me super cautious when speaking to people. I leave conversations worried I came off the wrong way and keep thinking about it. I've found it super tiring when you need to constantly worry about what everyone around me thinks about me.

How does everyone deal with this? I'm sure it's even more pressure when you get into your career.

I might not be the best voice for this, but over time I progressively care less about what people think of me personally, because you'll just go crazy since it affects everything else in your life. Being comfortable with who you are is the most important, and you'll be confident enough to tackle anything without feeling paralyzed. Might not happen overnight, but helps with time.

In work and other settings, it can be a little different. Mainly, in the workplace you'd like to have a reputation as being resourceful, hardworking, and intelligent, and oftentimes it can seem like it's the reputation of these qualities that is more useful than them alone.

Sounds like you should see someone. Either that, or earn enough money so that you can afford not to worry about what people think of you.

I don't know... Yeah. Almost definitely yes.
