Roommates for an off cycle NYC hire?

Boys,

Well I'm considering taking an offer in NYC at a BB. I'm from the south and do not know a soul in NYC.

I really don't wanna blow $3k-4k a month on a single bed studio. From my research, I've seen some decent spots around Murray Hill that sleep 3-4 making everyone in for roughly $1.5-$2k.

Question is how do I find roommates that have similar interest and age.

I'm 24 M enjoy reading, football, golf and will be working on wallstreet. Im clean and organized.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly a part of me doesn't want to take the job if I have to pay 4K a month on rent.

Check SpareRoom. They have listings for people who are trying to find someone to take their lease over/finding a new roommate.
