Schools Failing Our Most Vulnerable Kids

This is just shocking. It appears the educational system in America is failing our most vulnerable students, and robbing them of their opportunity to inflict mediocrity on the ranks of middle management. What are these poor kids to do when there are no consulting gigs left?

Edmundo,

Despite the humor in this (and I found it hysterical), the sad part is that the US education system, at least in New Jersey, is failing a majority of the students in it. I'll be back with a further explanation, but as of now, I'm a bit late, so expect it coming.

I think schools do suck, but lets face it, there is so much free information online that anyone who is clueless is because they don't want to get off their ass and learn.

Don't know about US history, do a google search. Students expect to have information pumped into their brains. It is passive learning. As much as I love crapping on our public school system a good share of the blame must be on the individuals.

Ugh could you be any more self-righteous?

How is expecting people to learn being self righteous? Teachers teach and kids screw off. Are you telling me that no one should ever seek out knowledge on their own? I think you need to look up the definition of self righteous or maybe you are waiting for someone to tell you what it means.

When you were in elementary school how often did you go google something that you didn't learn in school? That is completely impractical. The point of a school is for things to be pumped into ur brain. School is cumulative so by the time kids are in middle school, if they have had shitty schools their whole lives (which many many kids do), they are really hopelessly behind. And our overcrowded school systems are filled with TEACHERS who don't give a fuck. so try catching up on 3 years of math that you didn't learn when you were in elementary school when you are surrounded by teachers who are overburdened and dont give a shit... Its a set up for failure and kids are already pretty much screwed by age 10 or 11.

LOL...not bothering to read until the end of the word problem...

in its own way, this video explains everything that is wrong with our public education system.
