Seeking advice on how to network with non-alum and industry professionals in Canada, ESP TORONTO

I am attending UBC Sauder and have been consistently trying to be optimistic about breaking into S&T career, intending to move to Toronto as soon as I'm done with school. I got into the AEO Program at IVEY but I was unsure of my interest as I initially planned on going into Science program. Now here I am thinking about the opportunity I had.

I have exhausted myself trying to seek alumni and connect with industry professionals to get some connection and grow my network, but I can't help but be hopeless to grow my network outside the west coast. I'm frustrated with not feeling well prepared to start applying for summer 2020 internship positions. With the deadlines approaching soon, I am often anxious and have panic attacks whenever I'm by myself. I would highly appreciate if anyone can help me through this tough phase. Any advice, other networking ideas to try out or any sort of recommendation would be very helpful to me.

P.S: My average is about 80% and I'm currently studying to take CSC in November, if not August. I've tried to reach out to recruiter as well. I do get connections and replies but they are often not open to coffee chats or uninterested replying until I follow-up a couple of times. Cold emailing replies haven't been much success either.
