I thought it was pretty decent. I didn't really warm up to Sissy.
Not sure if it's realistic, but the movie does a fine job of capturing the desperation to his addiction. The scene at the club at the end was definitely in line with McQueen's earlier work/themes (go see Hunger if you haven't).
