Should F1 students open Roth IRA?

Hi everyone,

Junior international here. I will do banking in NY this summer and I am learning more about taxes/retirement accounts. What is the consensus about Roth IRA for F1-OPT-hopefully H1b people. I would like to stay in the US but there is 50% shot I won't win H1b so not sure what to do regarding opening a Roth IRA. Also, can I transfer 6k to Roth IRA even tho I will earn that amount over the summer? I can use money my family gave me

Thanks everyone for the help!
