Should this be reported?
Got an email from my dad. He was cold called by a US brokering house, name withheld in case this answer is yes, about a great stock to buy. The stock seemed ok, i looked at it from a trading perspective (i am one), but the issue was with the company itself.
Their email sig (he forwarded it) said you can check out details on finra (I did, they werent there), the address listed for their clearers looked like a cemetery on google maps, and their address gave a city that their website didn't have (a few thousand miles in between).
So they're obviously a scam.Is there any benefit/obligation for me to report these inheritance stealing assholes to the SEC? (i'm in europe so its not exactly convenient for me to do this). If not i'll happily name and shame them.
Anyone got any experience with this, or know if its technically the righit thing to do but nothing will come of it?
Report to SEC and then name&shame
