Only the Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese move any weight in the electronics industry. I am baffled and embarrassed by the absence of real computer engineering and manufacturing in the United States. AAPL GOOG MSFT are glorified wholesalers as far as hardware is concerned, though their role in software design is still valuable.
