That was awesome. Some sources are saying it's confirmed that he broke the sound barrier. Not the longet freefall ever, but if you are going for speed why would you want a longer fall anyway?
i watched this live, it was pretty awesome. I imagine thats what my parents experienced watching the apollo missions

Guy hit 833.9 MPH. Apparently this was a NASA endorsed mission because there's a bunch of data they will collect on it and how it affects humans.

True, would have liked to see the first person view when he was out of control in the beginning. The camera view when he actually stepped off the capsule was amazing though. Gave me a big rush!
